Four time FIFA World Cup participants, Ecuador has never reached the hights of CONCACAF rivals Brazil, Argentina or Uruguay, but the fourth smallest nation in South America has gained a lot of ground in world football since the early 2000s producing globally recognized talent such as Enner and Antonio Valencia, Felipe Caicedo and more recently Chelsea's midfielder Moisés Caicedo as well.
