Our grading system
Nobody likes surprises when it comes to the condition of one's purchased goods and we completely understand that. That's exactly why we have our own 10/10 grading system when it comes to sports apparel.
The Bolka grading system takes into account the number of instances each article of clothing has in the following categories: Missing tags, fading, peeling, pulls, stretching and small holes and other visible damage. Unless an item is deemed to be in high demand (very old and rare, signed or match-worn), a product with large holes would not usually make the grade to be listed in our store.
Other than grading, we try to include very imperfection within our listing photos as well, giving our customers a piece of mind with every purchase. 10/10 - New
This one is simple. A 10/10 rating at Bolka means only new, with tags and no imperfections whatsoever!
9/10 - Excellent
Excellent means no visible damage. The item is as good as new but does not have tags which means it was likely worn before.
8/10 Great
A great pre-owned item will have 1 to 2 instances of small imperfections (usually a small snag or two)
7/10 - Good
A Good condition item is still very wearable, but it is showing signs of having been worn before. It can be a couple of snags and a bit of stretching or small fading in a sponsor print.
6/10 - Fair
Fair grading goes to items that have definitely looked newer but are still a great find for a collector. There will definitely be signs of wear but without any large imperfection.
5/10 - Well worn
Well worn items are probably not going to see the light of day on the streets again, however, they are usually real vintage pieces that are great to have in a collection. They may have damage that is more than minor, but are worth having.
4/10 - Rough
The only time you would find a "Rough" grading here on Bolka is if the item was very rare, match-worn or signed by a player.
3/10 - 0/10 - Not Bolka
Unless the exceptions from the rough grading exist, we will not sell any items that could be graded in this category.
